Newborn gift pack with cuddly jellyfish or monkey

The journey to newborn gift pack

Last Christmas we went to Denmark as we always do. I have never spent Christmas away from my family in Denmark. I’m lucky that my husband supports this and doesn’t have any set tradition on how he spends this time with his family. So he has totally adopted the Danish way of celebrating Christmas. The kids don’t know anything else and have always loved going to Denmark for Christmas along with all the Danish “hygge” that comes with it.

Anyway, this is not about Christmas… but about crocheted teddies and how they suddenly popped up on my website. I’m not really a needlecraft person I can do a bit but I’m nowhere near as talented as my good friend Tine.

This is where the whole Christmas thing comes in. Tine and I met up over Christmas and started talking about her latest creations. She told me about some time ago when she was making octopuses for premature babies. As the tentacles are known to give comfort to these babies as it’s a bit like the umbilical cord.

My friend Tine is very creative and always making new things. She recently started crocheting these cute little stuffed monkeys and jellyfish. This gave us the idea that it could be great to create together and make what we consider a sweet little gift pack for newborn babies.

I have created these new baby cards that s matches the monkeys and the jellyfish, there is also an option to buy the card or the toy separately.

The cards are printed on recycled Silk 350gsm paper, they are blank inside for you to write you own personal message Recycled white envelopes are included.

Facts about the soft toys

Our little cuddly jellyfish and monkey will fit perfectly into those little baby hands, as they are only 12cm in height perfect for grabbing. They are 100% cotton and filled with 100% synthetics. There are no bad chemicals and can be washed at 60 degrees.

As many as five children a day lose their lives to a rare disease, yet child health research is severely underfunded that’s why we are really pleased to be donating £1 of every sale made on our stuffed monkey and jellyfish gift pack to Great Ormond Street Hospital.
